Location is perfect, across the road from Kings Cross station. There is a bicycle hire stand right outside too, which we used to get over to Covent Garden. Only £6 for two bicycles for 24hours. Bargain. O’Neills pub right around the corner for watching the sport on tv & found a lovely cafe nearby for breakfast. Very clean & tidy. Quite small, but for the price it really is lovely. Staff at check-in were pleasant & we were able to drop our bags off earlier in the day. Hassle free. No silly hidden charges for stuff….which I hate. Got exactly what we paid for and I’ve paid a lot more for much worse in the past. As we wanted this as cheap as possible, we chose a room with no toilet/shower. It did have a small sink which was handy & the toilet was right outside our door & spotlessly clean. Didn’t use the shower so can’t comment. It was also just on the corridor outside our door. The stairs & hallways are quite narrow, so anyone with large luggage or mobility problems may find that a nuisance, but it wasn’t a bother for us. Reception also has a mini shop with some cold drinks & snacks (crisps, chocolate, fruit) which was cheap & handy. Again nice to see them not trying to rip people off with the prices for this stuff. Would highly recommend as a budget or one night stay.

Excellent location – no need for long metro rides. We chose a walking tour of London that started at King's Cross on the day we arrived. We checked in, had a great meal at the nearby Greek restaurant, and got to the meeting point in just five minutes. A busy first day with no stress or transport hassle! We also had an early trip to the Harry Potter Studio Tour, and getting to Victoria Station (where the Warner Bros. buses depart) was quick and easy – a huge plus for families. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, and very comfortable beds. Note: the staircase is quite narrow, so it might not suit people with limited mobility or families with small children. Also, small suitcases are definitely more practical here. The area is a hidden gem for food lovers – outstanding Greek, Georgian, and absolutely amazing Azerbaijani restaurants just around the corner. Dinner at the Azerbaijani place after a long day was pure joy. There’s also a lovely breakfast spot called Half Cup, only 3 minutes away. I give it a 10 for the unbeatable convenience of getting everywhere easily – truly appreciated! And a special thank you for the unexpected bonus of being in a true food lover’s paradise.

It's a VERY basic place, but you can't beat the location and the price, and it is tidy and clean and comfortable. Until I move into a significantly swankier tax bracket, this will remain my go-to place in Central London without paying Central London prices. Literally right across the street from King's Cross, which is so convenient for getting anywhere you want to go, plus a one-stop shop to get to and from Heathrow. Also right down the street from Euston Station if you are traveling elsewhere in the UK by train. Very clean, TV gets plenty of local channels, the WiFi is fast (I work remotely and never had an issue). Front desk is always attended by someone friendly and helpful. Shower is always hot.

This was my second stay at the Alhambra Hotel, and I've already booked my third. This hotel is such a fantastic value for money. Yes, it's small. The stairs aren't made for our massive suitcases but it doesn't matter when all you're after is a place to sleep at night. The location is superb, the rooms and bathrooms are super clean, the beds are comfy, and the staff is very friendly. I've read other reviews from people complaining about how this hotel doesn't do breakfast... you're in LONDON!! There are SO many fantastic restaurants and cafes that can provide you with breakfast. It shouldn't be a negative mark on this hotel.

I am visiting the Alhambra several times a year, because of its super nice team and the perfect location. It is a simple hotel, yet very tidy with super friendly and helpful service and well equipped rooms. My usual room has a suffient (very) small bath, hairdryer, coffeemaker and TV and is always well maintained. I do not book breakfast, but appreciate the option to buy snacks and drinks at the reception. Train stations, busses and tube are 1 minute walk from the hotel and the area offers a wide variety of food options.
